I had the opportunity to present a session at the SharePoint Saturday event in Stockholm. This was really a great event. I had never been to Stockholm before and the city made a lasting impression on me. It really is a great city with lot’s of friendly people. This event was hosted by Erwin van Hunen, Tobias Zimmergren and last but not least Matthias Einig. These guy’s are well know in the SharePoint and Office 365 world and they did a great job hosting this event.

Speaker dinner

For the speaker dinner we first went for a beer tasting. Being from Belgium and having a wife that works in a brewery I know my way around beer. So this was a magnificent way to get to know the other speakers. And I must say… the Swedes know how to make a good beer.

In the morning we were given our speaker gift: a Raspberry pi 3. This is a great gadget to play around with… especially for a developer like me 😊. But it did not stop me from being nervous the hole day. I had the graveyard session (@ the end of the day) and this was the first time for me presenting abroad. But luckily the more experienced speakers calmed me down and gave me some good advice. I would like to thank them for taking a newcomer like me under there wings and showing me the ropes. Here are some pictures from the panel they did at the end of the conference. This I had never seen before on a SharePoint Saturday and was a good Q&A at the end of the day.
